Which Sonic Youth album do I need?

I've only heard the tracks Incinerate and the one from the Juno soundtrack which I can't remember the name of cos I've lost my mp3 player but I remember i really loved it.... if someone could tell me the albums these are on, as well as albums you think are best... thanks

"Incinerate" is on the album Rather Ripped.

Their cover of the Carpenters' "Superstar" is on the compilation If I Were a Carpenter and the Juno soundtrack.

I recommend their albums Daydream Nation, Goo, and Murray Street.

I love Sonic Youth! Their most acclaimed album is Daydream Nation, I think. My favorite is Goo and Dirty is amazing, too! Hope I could help! : )

Daydream Nation AND Sister are their two best artistically IMO,and my two favorites.It's difficult to choose between the two,but I would say that Daydream Nation is a more experimental record.Listen to some samples of the songs on amazon.com or allmusic.com to decide(if you have to).

As far as the track Incinerate goes,it's in their 2006 album "Rather Ripped" and the song in The JUno soundtrack is called "Superstar" and I believe you cannot find it in any of their albums,except their DVD "Corporate Ghost" and of course the Juno soundtrack.

The best is Daydream Nation, but Goo and Dirty are also great.

Superstar (from Juno) is from A Carpenters tribute album (If I Were A Carpenter) but it's also on the Juno soundtrack.
