  1. Ohio requires a BA to start but you'll eventually need your Master's

  2. Georgia and Florida require a bachelor's degree.

  3. I didn't think any state "required" an MA to teach; you just get more money in some if you have one.  That is certainly the case in California.

  4. FL only requires a BA.  You receive an additional stipend (pay) if you earn your MA or NBPTS certification.  In some states (FL, NC...), NBPTS can earn you an additional $8-10K per year.

  5. Maryland requires a BA to start.  You need to get your Masters within 10 years.

  6. I know Kentucky will allow one to teach with a BA/BS, but you have to earn your MA/MS within a certain time period (unless it has changed in the past few years).

  7. I think because of NCLB many states are changing their standards and even if they do not require a master's within 10 years of obtaining your Bachelor's (Ohio), they will begin.  The government continues to find ways to say people who've spent tens of thousands of dollars and four years of their life on college are not highly qualified.  In the long run- it's up to each individual state.
