Like at the racetrack, everyone picks their favourite ,on the home turn the pack forms then the bolter emerges, wins, then all the theories come out as to why it was a chance. I 'm thinking the AFL bolter could be Brisbane . They still have a number of Premiership players and coach, which is lethal, given he already has 4 flags to his name, Bradshaw returns from injury, and they will want to strengthen their hold on QLD territory with the Roos move debate. Then they have traversed Robertson, intersecting him from Melbourne, and who has forgotten their demolition of Collingwood in R 17, the team who missed the grand final by 5 points against the eventual record breaking winner .

  1. Yes the Lions hopefully, Dont now were they find the players because no1 plays AFL in qld

  2. YES!!!  I'm prepared for the thumbs down for this answer, but I would have to say the unlikely surprise would be Carlton!!!

    I know!!!  hehehe

  3. Go Tigers, every one seems to forget the tigers rotten luck with injury last year, the year b4 they were 9th again weren't they? can't remember, but you add Mark Coghlan, a b+f winner, a fit Brown and Simmonds, didn't have a real ruckman all year, add McMahon, this Cotchin kidd, Foley has come on well, they will surprise this year and you cant go on the lions belting c'wood, we do it every year, they got beat by the tiges again this year guys, bottom side.  robo is staying at melb last i heard too.....

  4. I've thought for a few years Richmond are building.  They have some good young talent.  I'd pick them as likely surprise top four material but I don't think they have premiership written on them.

St Kilda didn't seem to get much new youth which surprised me a bit but they have to be in the hunt.  Still think Fraser's a liability to their new plans.

But I agree, Brisbane are the biggest under-achievers this year (without obvious reason like WCE) as Geelong were last year.  They have the players and a settled coach.

  5. I will be hoping like mad that it will be the Lions.

Just as long as Bradshaws/Brown's injuries don't resurface, we might just stand a chance.

Arsenal07: dunno mate, i seem to be attracting them everywhere i go these days.

I think i've upset the people who gave thumbs down to Rogue & Cutemum. Ahhh well you get that!

  6. Perhaps Freo will give everyone the old heave-ho
