Which Theoretical perspective?

....Would you use to better understand what emotions an individual in a group has about their group?

Tajfel and his theories on ingroup/outgroup touch on this to a certain degree, but perhaps not on the level of emotions, but more in terms of feelings of solidarity attached to the ingroup, and mistrust or even hatred of the outgroup.
