  1. Ha! I love how you all think the Penguins will win the division. Anyone know how Carolina has done in the playoffs the past two seasons, oh wait they didn't make them. They had a much more experienced team after winning the Cup and have failed to make the playoffs since then. The Penguins will not only experience a hangover, but they aren't really that good. Crosby is a little wuss and Malkin is unmotivated. As for the question, Rangers, Devils, Islanders. Rangers improved, Devils did nothing but acquire old guys they once had, and the Islanders spent a lot on a risky defenseman.

  2. Out of the tri-state area?

You cannot count out the Devils. Last year, they finished AHEAD of the Rangers (albeit, by only 2pts, but still ahead) but with a much, much worse roster. The Rangers were supposed to be the best, remember? Drury? Gomez? Jagr? Once again the Rangers proved that money doesnt guarantee the Cup and this year, changing the face of their team completely may or may not prove that statement again.

The Devils only IMPROVED upon their roster, losing no one of importance and they still have Brodeur. Watch out for them, even though they sucked against Tri-State Area team (losing the "Metro Ice" cup by about 20pts..haha) they are still very dangerous.

The Islanders will obviously be the worst, but still very competitive. They are in a rebuilding phase, which the team desperately needs. But, like always, they will still probably compete night in and night out, especially against their Tri-State friends (winning the Metro cup last year...).

To claim that the Rangers will win the Atlantic above a still great team in Pittsburgh (who, dont forget, dominated the Atlantic BEFORE aquiring Hossa) cannot be stated at this point. To me, Pittsburgh takes the title again. Names and spending almost all of your cap does not guarantee a division, conference or stanely cup.

  3. From best to worst I see it being Devils, Rangers, Islanders. But the Rangers could be on top too, very close between NJ and NYR.

  4. It will be like it was last year. the islanders will suck terribly, especially since Satan and Fedotenko are gone, it will be between the rangers and the devils. I would think that the rangers would finish on top of the three, but they still finish third in the division. The penguins will win the atlantic once again, the flyers will come in second. Then the tri-state teams will be the bottom three

  5. Somebody thinks he's cool by imitating the great Steve Somers.

The Rangers are probably better than the Devils, (and definitely better than the Islanders) but to actually predict the Rangers will win the division is quite outlandish.  The Penguins are vastly more talented and they have jelled as a team.

    IMO:

    PIT (by around 12 points)

    PHI

    NYR

    NJ

    NYI
