  1. To be accurate, if they turned off cabin heating, you would pretty much freeze to death.  Turning off cabin heating does not really save any fuel, as at least on most planes that I know of, heat is pulled from waste heat from the engines, which they produce anyway.

It's cool (air conditioning) which is a drain on the power systems and increases fuel use.

  2. you mean air conditioning? my friend flew thomas cook the other week to turkey and she said it was really hot and then when everyone complained they put the air con on and it was freezing.

so i dunno, i know airlines are cracking down on money and making you pay, maybe they will put air vents in the back of the seat and you will have to pay for the air con, who knows lol.

  3. They actually can't do that without killing you, because the plane flies at about 30,000 feet, and that is twice the height of Mt. Everest. They probably just turn it down, also the air conditioning also uses fuel so... yea.

  4. We flew back from Turkey with First Choice in June and there was no heating, as it was 4.a.m it was pretty chilly. Also if you want a pillow now they will sell you one for £6.50
