Which US State in the United States do you admire the most?

You can only pick 1 state. It doesn't have to be your home state, but it can be.

I will pick Rhode Island because Rhode Islanders 1) Liberated themselves from the Puritan penal code of Massachusetts Bay, 2) Established an anti-slavery convention as early as 1813, 3) Upheld heritage and art and the roots of its ancestry and 4) Has embraced an amazing melting of Italians, Irish, Jews, African Americans, Scots, Brits, Freemasons.

A small state, but wow what a great state to call home!

Louisiana. I'll get thumbs down and people will disagree but only those who don't live here. I don't like it for the government(haha), but the people. Many think we're a bunch of freeloading degenerates but Louisiana has some of the nicest people you can find in the country, people who truly care about one another. Sure we have some bad apples and ghettos and whatnot but what metro area doesn't?

I have to say Texas... :D because we are geographically diverse as well as culturally... and we know how to kick *** when we need to... We too have excepted many cultures such as the Mexicans, the Czech, and the Germans... We have one of the best economies in the nation and many jobs as a result... :p
