  1. Detroit Zoo is nice...it's large, lots of walking, but the exhibits are well done, and the animals are well cared for.  

    Toledo Zoo in Ohio is very nice as well.

    Don't bother going to the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk.  While it's done up nicely, there's not much to it.  Basically, you can go through the whole thing in around an hour or less.  It's pretty small.  There's a lot of space to it, but they don't have enough animals or exhibits to fill the space.


  2. New York City, so beautiful and so much land to walk around in.. in the city!

  3. St. Louis. Huge zoo, wide variety of anilmals, lots of fun things to do around the zoo. Their is the science museum, the Galleria (One of america's largest malls... #4 on larger malls list) The magic house (great for any age) Great paks, great ribs :) very affordable

  4. San Diego for sure. It's the fifth largest Zoo in the world. It's beautiful!

  5. San Diego is probably the best, and how about the Cincinnati Zoo.

  6. The number one zoo in the US is in San Diego, CA. The second best is in Omaha, NE ... they also have the largest indoor desert dome. Everyone thinks their zoo is the best but these two are the top in the country.

  13. Philadelphia - I have many fond childhood memories of visiting this zoo.  San Diego is second in my mind. Nice zoo, good atmosphere.  The D.C. Zoo is good, too.  :-)

  14. San Diego has the best quality zoo but St.Louis' zoo is free to the public.  You can just walk on in and it's pretty high quality.  There is also a great art museum right across the street that is free to.  And while you're in town you can go up in the arch.

  21. I agree wit the first guy that answered, San Diego Wild Animal Park is the best zoo ever! It has a lot of fun stuff like night shows, gift shops , and they have arts and crafts stores.It's really fun there!!!! :D

  25. I dont know if its a zoo but theres a faaat animal park in southern california thats pretty dope theres like an hour tram tour ride to see everything and its almost like natural

  26. Columbus, Ohio..best one i have ever seen!!..its very big with lots of animals all over and they have food stands and water mist for when u get hot..and its very clean and has shops..its very nice!!
