Which Unversities or Colleges in England would be best for a history major?

I haven't yet decided which part of History I want to study, so just in general.

Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial College London. All are quite hare to get into, and charge oversea students rather a lot (no more than US universities do home students though).

You should also understand that a degree is probably structured differently than you're used to. I'm just assuming from "History major" that you're from the US. UK degrees are more concentrated. If you do a "history" degree in the UK it'll only be history and nothing else (there are degrees that combine two subjects though). No requirements to do a bit of science or a bit of mathematics. No option to either.
