Which Vegas restaurant will you choose?

I am going to Vegas with my family this weekend (4 ppl all over 21). It is my mother’s birthday. My parents haven’t been here in 10 years. I really want them to have a memorable experience. One thing my dad loves is Steak. I don’t want to disappoint considering there are some AMAZING placing in Vegas for Steak.

Problem: I cant spend $500 for one dinner. My budget is around $200ish.

So far, I have Craftsteak, Delmonico's, Mon Ami Gabi and Morels on the list. Im driving myself crazy with research.

Which has the best atmosphere, best food, and value for the money?

Help. THANK YOU

  1. You will not  go wrong with either Delmonico's or Craftsteak. They are both amazing restaurants. Craft is a little pricer. Also consider Stack, in the Mirage. They have amazing steak and the atmosphere and food is a little more fun and playful.

  2. The steak house at Bally's is a REALLY good restaurant (http://www.harrahs.com/images/non_image_... - there is also an older place north of the strip called "The Golden Steer" (http://www.goldensteerlv.com). It is an incredible old school steakhouse that your Dad would surely enjoy. They used to have a few cuts of Prime Rib, the two most notable were/are the Diamond Jim & Diamond Lil cuts. DJ is 64 oz & the DL is 36 oz. Unbelievable. Your budget is a bit low for any steakhouse for four people though, seeing as how most classic steakhouse serve everything alacarte. Good luck though and have a great time.

  3. The restaurant at the Stratosphere, Top of the World, had one of the best steaks I've ever had.  We have been there for lunch and for dinner.   Dinner is definately expensive, ($30 min. per person) but sooooo worth it.  I got the rib eye and my dh had the muscovy duck.  We got the chocolate stratosphere for dessert.

    Very very good food.

  4. The golden steer is the best. and thanks for your advice on one of my questions it will help. but i have been to the golden steer and it was amazing even though i couldnt move after we got done eating. lol

  5. The Don B steak house at Fitzgeralds (it's downtown) is amazing.

    Check it out!

  6. Of the four, I would choose Mon Ami Gabi. The atmosphere is good, and so is the food. A starter, main course and with wine and cocktails for 4, expect to pay around $150.00.

You can get a pretty good steak there but both Craftsteak and Delmonico's have a wider range of "steaks" to choose from. I don't think the atmosphere is as good as Mon Ami though. I haven't been to Morels so I can't comment on it.

If it were me, Mon Ami Gabi.

  7. If your dad loves steak, you can never go wrong with Ruth's Chriss Steakhouse. It's off the strip ( check the website for exact directions - on Koval?)  But your parents have to experience the steak brought to your table sizzling in butter !!

My wife and I went to the Beverly Hills, Ca. location with a coupon for a four course dinner for two at ~ $89 . I would call and ask if they may have a similar special.

  8. Emeril's Delmonico's is so good.  One time we there with our daughter.  After eating, we scraped our leftovers onto one plate so the wait staff could box them up for our dogs.  A group of men came in and sat at the table next to us. One of them looked over at that plate of mixed scraps and told the waiter he wanted what we had!!!  LOL!!

I've heard Craftsteak is really good, but don't  go to Mon Ami Gabi unless you want French food.

Another option is Gallagher's Steakhouse at NY NY and the Steakhouse at Circus Circus is one of the very best steakhouses in town.

But I don't think your $200 budget for 4 people will work at any of these.

I have another idea!!!  Morton's the Steakhouse, is having a special right now.  Steak and Seafood for 2 for $99.  Multiply that by 2 = 4 for around $200.  But you'll have to add tax, gratuity and the cost of drinks, but I think the total if you order wine or drinks with dinner would be around $300.  And Morton's has the very best steak!!!  It's located on Paradise off Flamingo.  Look at their website http://www.mortons.com   We had our daughter's wedding reception there last year and we go there often

  9. Well i just ate at craftsteak (it was sooooooooo good!!!!!!!) well i would recomend it but there is 1 problem it is pricey about  $600+ if you want a delicious steak 180-240 for the best steak you willl ever have...... well heres a menu.......

    http://www.craftrestaurant.com/cs_menu.h...

well i would recomend the "a5" japenesse waygu it is da bomb!!!!!!!

    enjoy!

    ;-)

  10. The Steak House ar Circus Circus is great! (I know... Circus Circus, but it is really good.)

Or Gallaghers Steak House in the New York New York.

  11. On the strip in the riviera

or at the top of the stratosphere which is also on the strip

    Hope I Helped

  12. I've only been to Delmonico's and Mon Ami Gabi and I would choose Mon Ami Gabi. The steaks were wonderful! In fact my mother was cutting it with her butter knife before she realized it was the wrong knife. You also have the bonus of a wonderful view if you sit on the patio. We make a point of going there every time we're in Vegas.

Delmonico's food is very good, but it was over $150 for two of us.

I've heard wonderful things about CraftSteak, but it may be stretching your budget a bit.

You might also want to look at The Range at Harrah's and the steakhouse at Circus Circus. Both of them get good reviews.
