  1. Close call and a really tough decision. But i was watching this ppv a few nights ago with friends and it's still a personal favorite and just about as good as WCW got back then. It's Starrcade 1988, the first Starrcade under the WCW banner after Jim Crockett Promotions had been bought out by Ted Turner and for me, maybe the best of all the Starrcades.

The main event was a 30 minute rollercoaster of a match between Ric Flair and Lex Luger. They had been feuding since Luger left the Horsemen and Barry Windham then joined. An excellent well worked match full of action, holds, counters and nearfalls. The whole Starrcade card didn't have a weak match and the other highlights were Sting and Dusty Rhodes vs The Road Warriors, Kevin Sullivan and Dr Death vs The Fantastics.Plus my favorite of the event, the Midnight Express vs the Original Midnight Express with Jim Cornette and Paul Heyman in opposite corners.

  2. Well I can't pick one year, but my favorite all time PPV they used to have was where they would have the Lethal Lottery tournament where heels and faces would be on the same team. Sometimes they would also pair two guys that were feuding with each other up and it would create choas.

  3. Im not going to lie, Im a lil too young to have watched the old WCW, but I have seen one PPV and I liked it.  IT was called Fall Brawl 1996.

WHen NWO and bogus Sting faced The Four Horsemen in that double steel cage thingy. sorry, never really watched WCW.

But I did watch this match.  It was good and really started me into looking up WCW matches on youtube.

EDIT: Yes, it does ring a bell now. lol

Ahh, i dont belong in this section.  My wrestling knowledge aint as superior as most.  :(

  4. Starcade 1993

  5. Starrcade 1995:  WCW vs New Japan.

  6. I really really really liked Starrcade 1997.  This was when Sting had felt betrayed by the wcw roster and turned into his crow gimmick and began appearing in rafters.  He feuded with the nWo for like a year without wrestling (which was annoying as he is one of the best ever!) But Sting's return was really cool to see him face Hogan for the title.  He also had my favorite entrance of all time. (sorry Undertaker..)
