Serena is certainly the favourite.  She leads the head-to-head 8-7.

When it comes to Grand Slam finals she leads the head-to-head meetings 5-1, despite losing the first meeting.  She lost the first Wimbledon final against Venus in 2000, but beat Venus in '02 and '03.

Easy to read into stats, but the fact that Serena has managed to beat Venus when it really matters means she has to be favourite.

Venus should be favored and is favored..... She is the best grass and wimbledon player of this generation, and her serve is just a little bit better than serenas....

Venus Williams is the clear favorite, being the defending champ and four-time winner.  I'm hesistant to call it an advantage, however, due to the fact that little sister Serena is on the opposite end of the court.  A two-time champion herself, Serena has defeated Venus both times when the two met in the Wimbledon final in '02 and '03.  One thing's for sure...it will be a competitive, strong and dog fight that will show one of the Williams prevailing.

My prediction:  Serena in three.  She has looked steller throughout this tournament and I think she's finally ready for another Venus Rosewater dish after a five-year drought
