Which Would Be Better in Your Opinion & Do U Like My Characters Names?

Question

Alright, I am writing a story about ghosts that go to school with humans and are look like humans.

Would it be more interesting to make it a romance, horror, friendship, making the ghosts go into 'the light' or something entirely different?

Also, do you like these names (please also keep in mind the ghosts were killed in the mid 17th century ;)):

Charlotte Amanda Eaves (Main ghost)

Bridgett Jane Eaves (Charlotte's sister)

Emmet Phillip Eaves (Charlotte's brother)

William Henry Eaves (Charlotte's father)

Sounds alright and i like your story idea- but you need to have a conflict that can be resolved... maybe figuring out why charlotte died at such a young age and why she wont talk about it or something??

Ghosts and humans? Icky! lol. Err, I think a friendship is the safe choice, romance sounds icky unless the living go with the living, and the dead with the dead. No ghost s*x though. Cause that's a whole lotta something I don't wanna read about. Names are great (too many middle names! Hope you don't mention them much, unless some of them go by their middle names only) Ghosts that move on to the next plane are always nice-provided it's not something cheesy.

they;re really good names BUT i dont like how they ALL have a middle name. i think if the story is going to be good you have to put  a mixture of these themes in it. for instance you could make it a friendship and romance thing but you want to put an element of danger or struggle into one or more of the main characters involved.

Genre: Would it be more interesting to make it a romance, horror, friendship, making the ghosts go into 'the light' or something entirely different? A romance would be awfully similar to the twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, so don't do that, but I think have something about a human who can't see the ghosts, though everyone else can. The ghosts have just moved to a new town and this person can't see them. I'm guessing this would be this 'Skye' person. I think, befriend them with a ghost, though she can't see them. Sorry, that got out of hand, now your imagination can't go too far, I've already said to much! (That's if you use my idea of course)

Any way of putting those three names around could work really, maybe even Rosemary? Instead of Rose?

I don't know why but I don't like it. Either keep the first name and change the middle name or keep the middle name and change the first name. I don't like the last name at all. I came up with Sorini(sureenee), kind of Italian, but I don't know if you'll like it.

Serena Nicole (Something else that isn't Sorini, lol)?

I see, divorced parents? OK. Well then, King is good, but if it's the divorced parent thing, then I won't put it on Skye like I was going to, before I even saw this! I don't know about this name.

I think you should change this, because the whole ee and then straight after wards y, doesn't work for me.

You need to have more of a plot to your story. I'd like to read a mysterious/romance ghost story. I like the names of the ghosts, but I strongly dislike the names of the humans, but that is just my opinion. Good luck! :)

I like most of the names.

"Emmet Phillip" and "Emilee Harmony" don't flow well though.  They're a bit awkward to say.  I don't know why, but Felix popped into my head as an alternative for Phillip, lol.  ^^  Maybe something like Mae/May or Diane to replace Harmony?

As far as genre, why not use them all?  You can choose one primary genre that you think you'd have the greatest skill in, and then incorporate elements of all the rest as well.  No reason to limit yourself just because people like to label things.  ^^

I think each ghost should have it's own story within the overall plot.  Maybe some of them go into "the light" maybe some of them descend into darkness.  

Maybe Skye and Charlotte are friends, so the primary story would be more about friendship.  But say the ghosts CAN be harmful, and one of them is bitter against humanity, bringing in some horror.  Maybe Emmet (because he's male, lol) falls in love with Skye, or the other way around so you can bring in some romance.  There are a lot of things you can do, especially with an entire family of ghosts.  ^^  Just have fun!

I noticed people complaining about middle names, but don't worry about them.  Most people DO have middle names (I've got one!).  It's an important part of creating the character.  You don't have to use the middle name, but knowing it can still come in handy. ^_^  besides, it just means you're thorough.
