Which Would You Rather Visit: Spain or Italy?

If you were going to either Spain or Italy for a month, which would you choose, and why (specific reasons please)?

I visited both countries, but prefer Italy. I can't really give you a reason that's objective but here are my thoughts:

-Italy is so much more colorful than Spain

-Italy is so much more authentic than Spain. Large parts of Spain are totally spoiled by tourism while in Italy the tourism is much more spread all over the country

-there are much more cities with world heritage culture: Rome, Firenze, Venice, Sienna, Milan, Verona, Bologna, ...only Rome is so special that no other city in the world can be compared to Rome

-I speak fluently Italian and hardly no Spain ;-)

-I never had a bad meal in Italy, while in Spain I had several bad meals

-there are much more small islands that are not known to tourists

-the are jet set places like Sardinia and Portofino

-Sicily

-if you buy shoes or clothes in Italy, you are sure that two years later they are still trendy in Western Europe (Spain is on the same fashion time table as Western Europe, while Italy is two years ahead)
