Which accomplishment is better?

The Giants stunning the world in the Super Bowl upsetting the (almost) undefeated Patriots or Michael Phelps' 8 gold medals in the Olympics...keep in mind that the Giants were 14 point underdogs and Michael Phelps (team) wasn't favored in 2 of his races...

Phelps... he won gold in everything he's done! That's the greatest accomplishment for any Olympian... but the SB was aomazing becuase it made the Pats realize how cocky they really are

I think the two are equal. One was a monumental team effort, one was a largely legendary individual acheivement.

Both had the odds heavily stacked against them, both overcame, and both are now going down in history.

If I had to pick, Id say Phelps because of his consistency. Could the Giants beat the Patriots in 8 straight games? Probably not? But an argument could be made for the Giants having to make it through 3 tough road playoff games then beating the Patriots.

Phelps. He won gold in all 8 of his races and broke world records while doing it. and two of those races he won by only one one hundreth of a second. that to me blows the giants out of the water.

the us swim team may have exceeded expectations a bit, but they are always strong so their accomplishments are not a surprise.

not to say the accomplishment is not great, but in terms of "upsets", which seems to be the core of your question, i sasy the super bowl-nobody saw that coming!

Phelps all the way! What he did is astonishing.

What the Giants did was put an arrogant team in their place. The Patriots were overconfident.

Michael Phelps. Especially doing it in such dramatic fashion, from the 100m fly to the 4x100 relay. It was just incredible, and it changed the olympics. Phelps we'll remember forever. There's a superbowl every year. Both are incredible though.

Omg good question. But i will say the Giants because they are verusing a team way better than them. And im sure micheal phelps was closer comparble to his competion. Both are unbelievable. But i was shocked a little bit more when the giants won because the patroits won every frickin game.  Who would have though.
