Which air vents do i CLOSE in the SUMMERTIME!!

so everybody in all my rooms in the house i have air vents on the top and bottom of the walls which ones do i close if any to keep my house nice and cool. (It is a 2 story house)

If you have a basement close all of the vents down there. On the first floor close the lower vents. Upstairs should all stay open. Turn on any ceiling fans and have them blow downward.
