  1. It depends. Do you like to use a lot of distortion pedals? I find Fender's tube amps have an amazing clean sound and which I believe is ideal if you use muti-effect foot pedals/stomp boxes because you get the full sound the pedal is producing. Plus Fender tube amp can SCREAM. I play in a garage band and during practice I can never go past 2 because it is just too loud. I end up drowning out everyone. Overall go to your local music store and test it yourself if you have the luxury. That is the true test. If you like the sound that the amp produces with your guitar plus your set up then get it. Your the guitarist you decide what you like.

  2. i know maybe one musician who likes their line 6 amp. But that happens to be one of their high end amps. realistically you need to consider budget. I got a used Fender Hot Rod deluxe for $400. it is an amazing amp for the money. it could cover country and rock with ease. if your budget is in the $200 range i recommend the fender 25 watt amp they offer. versatile amp that will serve you longer than the marshall or the line 6. The line 6 sounds so shrill and stereo typically solid state.

you will not need to upgrade with an amp such as the hot rod deluxe. with the smaller solid state amps it is inevitable.

  3. Line 6 beat any solid state amp in sound quality. Unless ofcourse the Fender and Marshall are tube driven.
