Which amp to choose.?

i am wanting to buy a 15 inch Kicker comp sub... its 1000 max and 500 RMS but there is a 2 ohm and a 4 ohm.. which is better.. And what amp is better a 1800 watt Power Acoustic its 500 4 ohms and 700 watts at 2 ohms. Or a Kenwood amp that is 1000 watt max and a 500 rms???? help me

  1. It is pointless to look at the max watts, very few amplifiers actually reach that power and most installs do not have the electrical system to reach that level of power.  As for quality and true power, the Kenwood should be superior to the Power Acoustic.


  2. the 15 inch kick comp is only 500 max and 300 rms. the CVR kicker 15'' is 1000 watts and 600 watts rms.

    neither of those amps will work on the COMP(black and yellow) the kenwood amp will work on the CVR (silver and red) the power acoustics wont work on either as well the burp on the acoustic can get up to its peak and damage the subs.
