Question:

Which amp would I use with these subs?

I just bought a dual 12" MTX subwoofer for my pathfinder. I know I need an amp with around 1000 watts. I only want to spend around 100 dollars. I know this is cheap, but what is the most decent amp I would be able to pick up? I am not too familiar with how many channels and what it needs to have.

Here is a link to the sub:

  1. for those subs you really only need a 500 watt amp since the subs are only 500rms but if you get a 1000watt be sure to adjust your gains. i would also get a class D monoblock because they are built for subs and low end frequencies.  i would check http://www.ebay and http://www.overstock.com because your not going to find a 1000watt monoblock for under $100 in the stores. also  check some local pawnshops and flea markets, you can get good brand used stuff.

  2. even on ebay or overstock, you probably won't find an amp for 100

  3. about channel try to get a 1-channel amp but about buying with $100 I dont know what U should do
