Hey, I have two 12" rockford P3's. Together they push 1000 RMS. I was wondering which of these two amps would you recommend for these subs? Either the MTX Thunder X1000D or the Rockford Fosgate T1000-1BD. Let me know. I have friends with these amps who can let me keep it so that's why I am asking between these two only. So Im not looking for other suggestions. Thanks!

  1. I would go with MTX its rely up to you tho they both do the job

  2. Do you have the dual 2ohm or dual 4ohm,that will play a part in how you wire them.

    Reply,

You should go with the MTX Thunder X1000D,it will give you most power with a 1000 watts at 2ohms.

The rockford only has 500 watts at 2ohms.

Yes you should go with the MTX since you can't wire your subs to 1ohm.

  3. i have the same subs and im looking on getting the rockford 1000w you do want to go with rockford no doubt best amps around ive always owned them had never had a problem im using a 550.2 rockford amp now pushing the p3 so by upgrading i cant imaging how they will sound with they hurt my ears now
