Wasps are likely the heaviest predators on spiders.  Many species specialize in spiders and feed on little else.  I remember catching a black widow spider with an inverted glass.  A yellow jacket wasp about half the size of the spider dived right down and got in the glass through a gap between the glass and the ground, jumped the spider,stung it and had it drained in less than a minute.  The second largest consumer would be rodents.  They include spiders in their diets of all small creatures.

Blimey.  I don't know but I'm going to add your question to my watch list.  I had a rather large one in my kitchen today and it shot out of sight before my brave husband could get it.  We finally caught it this evening in the hallway.  If I find out which animals eat them, I'll buy one as a pet.

Spiders are quite low on the food chain. Most things will eat them. I kind of agree that wasps take a fair share of them for their larvae. But I think birds take the most, along with ants.

Many wasps hunt spiders. Adult female wasps will capture spiders, stinging the spiders, and provision the spiders in a nest. The wasp will then lay an egg on the spiders and the wasp larva will feed upon the spiders until it is ready to molt into an adult wasp.

Some nematodes and mites are parasites to spiders. Birds, lizards, scorpions and insects such as wasps, ants and centipedes catch spiders from the ground from their web.

spider flies (Acroceridae) attack spiders and deposit the young fly larvae into the leg of a spider. These larvae then penetrate the book lungs resulting in death of the spider.

Ants can sometimes been seen dragging a killed spider. The praying mantis can eat any insect or spider, even other praying mantises.
