Which animal is the chinese trickster?

My class is going to do this trickster tale thing for our multi cultural fair. We get to choose which country's trickster we want to do and I want to do China. But I don't know which animal is the chinese trickster. I know that the japanese trickster is the badger, and I think that the american trickster is the wolf. My teacher has a book with trickster tales from asia but the only two chinese trickster tales, the trickster is an old man, and the other one is a dragon. A dragon is not really an animal so I don't think that counts. So if you know which animal is the chinese trickster, please tell me! Also if you know a good chinese trickster tale with an animal tricking other animals or people, please tell me that too. Thank you!

I would say the rat, just because of the Chinese Zodiac story where it tricks the ox into carrying it across the river, pushes the cat into the river, and rushes ahead of the ox into first place to become the first animal in the zodiac.

I believe that in China the monkey is the trickster.
