Okay, I'm a kinda picky person when it comes to anime, so here are my favorites, and please, I BEG of you, PLEASE no vampire knight or anything too typical of shojo manga. I'm more of a shonen person. There's nothing wrong with a TINY bit of romance here and there, but too much is just blah. and NO Naruto! so, anyways, here's my list:

I am 99% sure that you will love InuYasha

it has a lot of good fights with swords,it has also funny parts,it has also love,it has also the cool cold guy. it has a lot of slice of life and is one of the best out there. :) even though some parts might be kinda sad cauz the plot is really really deep.

SOUL EATER

The story takes place at the Shinigami Weaponry Vocational School, a school for creating Death Scythes for Gods of Death. The human and demon students seek the seeds of the souls of 99 humans and the soul of one witch, all of which are needed to turn just one of the demon students into a Death Scythe. One of the human students, Maka Alban, is paired with Soul Eater, a boyish demon whose true form is a scythe, as they collect the needed souls to transform Soul Eater.

Reborn also possesses a special bullet call the 'Dying Will' bullet, that is a specialty of the Vongola family. This bullet will revive you from death if you have any regrets when dying. When the bullet revives you, it gives you the determination to do what needs to be done.

AIR GEAR

Air Gear is about a typical 15 year old, Minami Itsuki aka Ikki, the leader of East Side Gunz, Higachu Junior High school gang. After being utterly humiliated by a street gang of Storm Riders using Air Treck (abbreviated as AT), the Noyamano siblings gave him a pair of Air Treck and helped him to deal with them. When the incident is over, he finds that he really likes the feeling of "flying" and he is sucked into the world of Air Treck. In the earliest part of the story, it mainly focus with Ikki finding his footing as a Storm Rider among with little episodes of his friends' lives. Later, the story is further developed to look into the issues of the AT world when Akito and Agito appear.

Renton Thurston is a 14-year-old boy who lived with his mechanic grandfather in a backwater town. When a young girl named Eureka riding the original LFO, the "Nirvash typeZERO", asks his grandfather for a tune-up, she inadvertently brings the attention of the military to the garage; as a result, the garage is destroyed and Renton is forced to deliver a new type of interface-- the "Amita Drive"-- to the Nirvash. After a heated fight in which the Nirvash destroys the military LFOs by unleashing an immense amount of power, Renton is invited into Gekkostate. However, he quickly realizes that behind the facade of a traveling group of mercenaries is a very bitter reality.

To hide their new `star` player from the eyes of other High Schools, Hiruma encases Sena in a Amefuto helmet with a dark visor and name him Eyeshield #21.

h**l Girl [aka Jigoku Shoujo]

---It is similar to Death Note. It is a really good anime in my opinion though it starts to kind of get repetitive. But i would recommend watching this anime. There isnt any kind of romance in it really! well, at least not that i can think of. The plot doesnt start till like halfway through the series it seems, but its a good anime, really. I found it worth watching. If you want a description about the anime, so you know what its about more...look below. I'm horrible when it comes to explaining stuff. lol.

Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is amazing.

Samurai Champloo is pretty badass too.

You could try Code Geass.

And Gunslinger Girl is awesome, only the first season though, don't bother with season two.
