Norton 360? Eset SmartSecurity? Kaspersky Anti-virus 2009? ...and why???

The use I give to my computer is school and projects of my own and browsing the web, checking my email and downloading torrents for tv shows.

According to AV Comparatives (a reputable site) AVIRA PE Premium, Eset Nod32/SmartSecurity are the two "Advanced +" programs that offer the best proactive testing (testing before a definition file is available), as once definition files are available, most AV programs are about the same.

I use Nod32.

Well personally. Free ones are good aswell. But if you want to pay for more Protection, my favourite one isn't their. Its called Windows Live One Care.

Ive used all of those.  I prefer Kaspersky Internet security over Norton 360.  But if your just wanting kaspersky antivirus id say go with norton.  Its light on your resourses and has alot of features.

Avast! Antivirus.

It's free, effective & I've never had a virus on my system, it flags them up if they try and invade to let you know, & blocks them(:

It also update it's virus database every day so you always know that any new viruses that are released onto the internet, your system can block(:
