Which apartment sounds more appealing?

Question

2 apartments....price is the same for both...both are corner units so there are a lot of windows on both sides. DETAILS:

Apartment 1....3rd floor...right next to highway...faces highway, housing developments and foothills (a little bit of a view) off to the right a little...a lot of direct afternoon sunlight...someone lives above on the fourth floor. Traffic is heaviest between 5:30am-9:30am ...and 4:00pm-7:00pm M-F.

Apartment 2....2nd floor...away from highway so a little quieter...faces parking lot and other buildings...not as much direct sunlight...someone lives above on the third floor.

I think you have to decide what is more important to you. a less noisy apartment or a bright, sunny one.

Sunlight is important and can really improve your general mood, will the traffic noise affect you as much? Are you going to be in when it is at it's heaviest? Is the other apartment that much quieter or will you still hear the noise but have less sunlight?

first apartment, the second sounds more like a cave: people above and below, less sunlight, sucky view
