Which are better..:hard or soft contacts...?

I'm thinking about getting contacts but i've been told that soft contacts are sold more because they are easier to put in your eye..but that hard contacts are actually better for you...? Why is that??

Soft Contact Lenses are made from a water absorbing material called HEMA (Hydroxy Ethyl Metha Acrylate} and are very soft to handle and comfortable on the eyes. So........soft is better.

soft = more comfortable

I would recomment soft contacts, you're less likely to damage or scratch your eye, they are more comfortable, and don't irritate as much. Personally I use disposables too, IMO it's more hygenic. You can also ask about breathable contacts at your opticians, in the end though, it's personal choice :)
