Which are the best lawns for the garden??

there are many types of lawns available in the market but if anyone knows which are the best natural lawns and are not vulnerable to insects and all those bacterias then please help me..your answers will be appreciated

  1. Depends on what region you live (check with a local nursery).

    Additionally, it's best to actually get a mix of seeds that way if one variety is suceptible to a certain insect plague or disease your entire lawn won't die and the remaining seeds will take over for the diseased one.

    Also depends on amount of sunlight, water (sprinklers?), traffic, etc.


  2. There are so many good lawns and the best lawn for you depends on how often you will use that lawn (do you have kids or pets?),and where you are located.  Grasses either thrive in warm or cool climates.

    As for bacteria that's more dependent on your soil rather than your grass.

    A good quick reference would be Ortho Lawn and Grass Care and any website you can google concerning grass.

    I personally like Bermuda grass for my lawn.  The thatch keeps the weeds down.
