Which are the best pressure cleaners - To clean cars and outdoor tiles? Electric or petrol?

There's something to be said for both. I prefer electric because they require less maintenance, are cheaper to operate and run cooler than gas.

Look for 2 numbers; working pressure(psi) and gallons per minute (gpm).

The gpm is actually the more important number as it tells you the volume of water the unit puts out. A higher gpm unit can work at a lower pressure and out perform a high psi unit that puts out a lower volume.

For example; A 1400 psi unit at 5 gpm will outperform a 2000psi unit at 2 gpm.

If you plan on using it a lot, get a belt driven compressor wether it be gas or electric. Its much easier and cheaper to maintain.

I HAVE A GERNI ITS AN ELECTRIC ONE I HAVE HAD IT FOR 8 YEARS NOW AND IT'S STILL AS GOOD TODAY AS IT WAS 8 YEARS AGO,ITS GERNI IN MY MIND.

It all depends on what you are looking for.  With electric you're limited to location, with gas you can go anywhere.  What you should be concerned with is the PSI ratios to do the job you want to do.
