What type of tint or whatever is best for night time skiing? Are the clear ones best for this?

I went to ***** sporting goods and all the ski goggles were tinted. I asked a guy he said they didnt have any which are best for night vision but then i asked another lady another time who didnt know who brought the GOLF guy to me and he said all lenses were the same. He was bullshit though because I asked that very same guy if he knew anything about ski goggles before that lady brought him to me and he said no!!!

So, what ski goggles are best for night skiing?

  1. clear is the best.

  2. A yellow tint or clear.  With ski goggles (and really, all tinted eyewear) one of the specs should be light transmission.  You want something with higher visible light transmission -- 40% or higher.  Clear goggles give you nearly 100% transmission

In bright sunlight, you'll probably prefer something that blocks more light .

I have some orange tinted goggles that I wear in all conditions from sun to night, but if you can afford it, It would be nice to get some yellow for cloudy/foggy days and nights and something with a darker tint for sunny days.

A lot of my friends feel that there isn't a lot of difference with clear lenses for night skiing -- your eyes adjust.

  3. Some people will say tinted, but for night skiing you really want as much light as possible. go for clear.

  4. clear or my favorite a light yellow tint

    check out oakley

    they make some great goggles

  5. Clear or a yellowish tint.
