  1. Different models built at different times, with different specifications, and upgrades/options


  2. Don't know about Mk1-3 but the clubman is an example of a bad idea getting off the drawing board. The car is awful compared to the mini, the doors aren't practical, the extra boot space is pointless. No one has ever needed an estate version of the mini, the reason for a mini are completely at odds with the estate car, they're meant to be fun. The back end is heavy and the handling suffers. Its noticeably slower.
