  1. David Coulthard (debut 1994 Williams)

    Rubens Barrichello (debut 1993 Jordan)

    Giancarlo Fisichella (debut 1996 Minardi)

    Jarno Trulli (debut 1997 Minardi)

Damon Hill retired at the end of 1999... due to being outclassed by his teammate Frentzen, his age (39), the new tyre regulations which he couldn't adapt to, and poor form which said to him best to pack it in...

What a great driver though... my hero :)

  2. Umpy is bang on with those 4.

Why Hill retired ( my opinion)

Damon Hill moved to Jordan in 1998 and scored 1 win and 20 Pt's, more than his team mate Ralf Schumacer, on 13.

For 1999, an extra groove was added to the tyres, which both Damon Hill and Alex Zanardi ( a Williams driver, Hill stayed at jordan), could not get used to.

Also Hill had a new team mate for 1999, Heinz Harold Frenzen, Frenzen was at the peak of his ability and made poor Damon look very average. Frenzen scored 55 Pt's and scored 2 wins, leading others but as usual Honda engines packing up. Hill managed just 7 Pt's. After spinning multipe time at France, he desided to give up at seasons end.

Hill was 39 years old too, which is quite old for an F1 driver.

  3. Drivers who still race now that have raced for 10 years or more.

    Jarno Trulli

    Rubens Barrichello

    David Coulthard

    Gean Carlo Fisichella

Damon Hill retired at the end of the 1999 season, though I never heard why he retired.

  4. David Coulthard?

  5. I believe from the current group of racers they are Giancarlo Fisichella, David Coulthard and Rubens Barrichello
