  1. The above is a good list, but I would add...

THE big building is Il Duomo (Santa Maria Del Fiore)  right in the center of town, surrounded by Piazza Del Duomo, Il Battistero, and Il Campinile Di Giotto.

The other big churches are Santa Maria Novella (near the train station), Santa Croce, and Santo Spirito.

    Galleria Dell'Accademia has Michelangelo's David.

Gli Uffizi has the famous museum with works by everyone, including Boticelli's most famous (Spring, Venus, etc.)  Palazzo Pitti also has a lot of Rafael's works plus the Boboli Gardens.

The big squares include Piazza Republica, Piazza Della Signoria, and Piazzale Michelangelo.

There is so much to see there, but that is the must-see list.

  2. From Italy: Palazzo Pitti, Galleria degli Uffizi, Santa Maria in Fiore' s church, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo del Bargello, Santa Croce and San Miniato's churches..........(palazzo= building - Ponte= bridge)

  3. honestly I don't know the name of it, but if you go to florence you'll know what I'm talking about when I say there is that big church!  It's giant and it's beautiful!  That's all I remember...that and the server named Nicola that wanted to marry me!

  4. duomo
