  1. the most abundant greenhouse gases are:

    water vapour

    carbon dioxide

    methane

    nitrous oxide

    ozone

    CFCs

the most important ones are water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone.

  2. Well as you are looking at on wikipedia, the most common green house gas is in fact, you guessed it, you didn't even have 2 look it up because its so common, and you are an idiot for not knowing this, its is in fact carbon dioxide.

  3. If you look up 'What are greenhouse gases?' on Google you'll find lots of different sites ... one in particular that might be helpful to you is Global Warming - What are greenhouse gases?,,,,

    :)

  4. Carbon dioxide

    Methane

    Nitrous oxide

    Ozone

    Water vapour

    Halocarbons

    CFCs

  5. Earth’s atmosphere is primarily composed of nitrogen (78 percent) and oxygen (21 percent). These two most common atmospheric gases have chemical structures that restrict absorption of infrared energy.

Only the few greenhouse gases, which make up less than 1 percent of the atmosphere, offer Earth any insulation.

Greenhouse gases occur naturally or are manufactured. The most abundant naturally occurring greenhouse gas is water vapor, followed by carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. Human-made chemicals that act as greenhouse gases include chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), and perfluorocarbons (PFCs).

Water vapor is the most common greenhouse gas in the atmosphere, accounting for about 60 to 70 percent of the natural greenhouse effect.

    Hope this has helped.

  6. Water vapour, carbon dioxide, ozone, methane, nitrous oxide and chloroflurocarbon are the greenhouse gases.Water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide occur in nature.Others are man-made. Major greenhouse gases are water vapour and carbon dioxide.

The contribution of water vapour,CO2 and ozone to the greenhouse effect is given below.

    Water vapour--36%

    CO2-------------12%

    Ozone-----------3%.( approximately.)
