Well there is soooooooooo many.

The city and surrounds offer many opportunities. You like the outdoors? WIntersports (not the best season now :D). There are 3 ski areas surrounding the city and more if you drive a bit. Hike, swim in the ocean, Gas Town, Stanley Park ..., Capilano suspension Bridge (4 tourists) - or Lynn Valley Park suspension Bridge (FREE). The port of Vancouver operates a viewpoint (with explanations). Plenty of tour operators - ask in your hotel.

Indoors? Planetarium, Science World, Railroad Museum (Squamish),

My personal favourite, not sure if they still do it, Harbour Air flies you up to a mountain lake in a float plane for a pick nick. Not cheap, but really nice and different.

Do not miss to have some Salmon. Nice location for the view is the Salmon house on the Hill (West Vancouver), the food is better in the Dundarave Area (West Vancouver).

Sports? During Season catch Hockey with the Cannucks or Football (Soccer) with the Whitecaps (much lower in price!).

Rent a boat in Horseshoe Bay and explore a little of the waters (bring a pick nick).

Take the Gondola up to Grouse Mountain - even when there is no snow the view is great.

Want to see bears? Go to the Squamish Landfill (no joke!).
