  1. Marijuana

  2. We certainly want to stop witch extinction or there will be no one left to cast any spells or brew up potions.

  3. I just hope it's none of the plants I need to eat!

  4. Last I heard plants liked CO2.

  5. You must be referring to Global Cooling....  The real threat to the flora and fauna.  In case you did not notice Big Al did not receive the Nobel Prize in a science category.  The SAG Academy did award him on his movie, but they messed up on the category.  It should have been Science Fiction not Documentary.  But then Actors are as easy to confuse as their fans.

  6. The American Chestnut Tree.  Six billion trees gone, and no one cares.  If we were able to bring this tree back to our forest, it would have a real impact rather than a fell good symbol of turning off a 60 watt light bulb.

    Do what you can to help preserve this symbol of America.

  7. Most plants thrive during global warming

  8. It is a well understood concept in ecology that a warmer climate favours species diversity, it is a colder climate that is so destructive to life. With a warmer climate and increased CO2 most plants will thrive.Some commercial glasshouses add CO2 to the atmosphere because it makes the plants grow stronger as it food for them.

    The main danger to wildlife, plant and animal, is habitat destruction, and the main cause of habitat destruction happens when the site is taken over for use by humans, either improved for agriculture, domestic industrial or commercial building, or transport infrastructure.

  9. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed

  10. probably none.   And plants going extinct means NOTHING.  Because of the rate at which plants spread and change, it is unlikely any plants will go extinct because of only global warming.

    Keep this in mind, over the last 15000 years, there have been 7 tree species reorganizations.  Meaning the dominant species of trees has changed in most places, many times over the last interglacial.

  11. there are 'red lists' for plants too, not so well known. heres an article about the european one;
