Question:

Which are the three primary issues for ordinary Americans in this election?

So far the main issues I have noticed reported in the media are:

- terrorism

- race/gender

- international relationships

All standard issues so surely, in such a large progressive country, there must be more to it than that. In your opinion what are the three most crucial issues? Timewasters shouldn't be able to nominate three so hopefully they won't bother with this question.

  1. Gun control. I dont want it. I like my rights thank you very much.

Health care. I want to be allowed to pick my health care proider, and i dont believe its the job of the government to try and decide for me.

    Oil/war.

I do not trust our country would be safe from other countries attacks if obama was elected. And I dont feel like having our country turned into a socialistic system. I believe in what the founding fathers wanted for this country and Obama is far from it. Not that McCain is perfect, but he is still more suitable than BO.

-not a problem, anytime. I will always give my opinion and my reasoning to anyone who asks. lol

  2. the economy

    ending the iraq war

    affordable health care

  3. 1. Stopping the war in Iraq and bringing the troops back home.

    2. Economy

    3. Alternative energy

  4. Y! questions and answer seems to think

    its

Obama being a muslim and a (fill in the blank)

McCain being too old and Bush II

Palin is too pretty and juicy

Biden is too much a Washington DC insider (old time politics)

IT is the Economy...STUPID!  This is what got Bill Clinton elected

    into POTUS for two terms..

Bill might have been a McDonald addict and s*x Addict but good

old Bill Clinton never killed anyone and the economy was good when

he was POTUS...and he always had that silly little grin when they

    caught him doing something naughty.

I miss Bill Clinton.  He was not perfect but after Bill the country went to

hades in a hand basket with the help of a poor congress and a President that looked like Alfred E. Newman *what me worry*

At least Iraq and Afghanistan kept our minds off of the economy..?

  5. Oil/Gas

    Illegal Imagration

    Too much Government/Programs

  6. National Security (which covers immigration and gun control to terrorist)

Economy (which involves energy policies to job outsourcing)

Health Care (which includes abortion issues to marijuana medical use)

  7. gas, taxes, and iraq, in that order.

  8. 1.) Iraq War/War on Terrorism

2.)Recession along with the inflation of the dollar

3.)Rising price of gas/ green substitutes

Why is everyone copying me?  If you agree with me, don't answer, just give me a thumbs up

  9. National Security

    Oil

    Economy

  10. terrorism

    economy/ no tax raising

    alternative fuel & drilling

  11. For me its

    Economy

    War in Iraq

    Energy

  12. 1) economy

    2) foreign relations

    3) bringing troops back home from war

  13. Our Economy/ gas, jobs, ect.

    Global Warming/

    Health Care

I could care less about war or anything involving other countries when we can't even save ourselves from ourselves. I don't think we should go attacking other countries because of some hidden agenda . . . . *cough*BUSH*cough*.

  14. 1) Money.

    2) Money.

    3) Money.

Obviously this is not and issue for me except in an indirect way. But it does strike at the heart of most people's thinking. Personal wealth.

  15. A big one is Health care, pro Life or pro choice and g*y issues then there are the oil crisis and immigration

  16. Constitution - Repaired and put back in proper order.

Economy - Nafta/jobs/taxes/education (they all fall in the same category for me)...

Iraq War End & Foreign Relations Repaired

  17. the economy and gas prices

  18. For me they are 1. Stop the march towards Marxism  2. Reduce taxation 3. Maintain prominence of US as world power

  19. I say...

    Taxes

    Energy

    Security

  20. Corruption in the government

    National security

    lower taxes

Don't forget what is reported by the media, is the media's issues, not always the average persons issues. The need to sell the news.

  21. The economy

    The war in Iraq

    The constitution

  22. 1.  Energy Independence, and it's direct correlation to the economy( high gas, electric, food costs).

    2.  The war against terror.

    3.   Economy & the FACT that raising taxes on anyone, including the wealthiest 5% is absurd in these economic conditions.  Also, reformed spending in congress.  Responsible management of the tax revenue collected.  Government officials putting America before their own self interests.

These are the reasons McCain-Palin win in '08.

Bring on the debates.  McCain will be as sharp as a razor.  No disrespect to Obama, but McCain out shined him by far at the religious forum, and will do so more decisively in the debates.  I'm very excited to see the Palin/Biden debate as well.  This election is by far the most exciting I have ever seen.  There are no losers this time around.  History gets made either way.  I'm a McCain supporter all the way, but I have admiration for Obama as well.  I see both men as passionate about their plans for America.  I just see McCains plan as realistic, and Obama's as misguided.  Having said that, if Obama wins I fully support my President, and cross my fingers he is not serious about his economic policy.

  23. National debt

    healthcare

    International relationships, i.e. The WAR

Those are my main issues, but aside from that I want Bush to be dragged out of his ranch and put up on a stage where we can throw stones at him until he is a bloody pulp.  Is that so wrong?

  24. economy, foreign relations mostly because of Russia/Georgia, and environment/immigration.

  25. JOBS...can't buy food or gas without a decent economy.

Using our tax dollars for a stupid war for profit instead of here at home is pretty high on the list. What is it?- 800,000 Iraqis they are paying daily not to shoot each other?

The failing banking system and the credit crunch will make it much harder to launch a recovery...food prices will continue to soar. Soup kitchens and tent cities across America.

    ETC.
