  1. Copenhagen is a very well planned city for bicycling and really lots of people living in that city are doing that! I´ve seen that myself.

I´ve heard Amsterdam is a good city for bicycling too.

  2. While I love Amsterdam, and use my bike every day, I will not use it in Amsterdam. To crowded and hard to oversee, at least in the center of town. And with public transport as good as it is, not needed either.

The smaller towns in the Netherlands are much better for bicycle riders.

And when you talk about a town designed for bicycle use, the new towns and suburbs in the Netherlands are your best bet.

The towns  completely build around the Dutch and their current use of bikes, Almere and Lelystad.

Both a little too far away for me to have used my bike there.

  3. Well, cities I don't know, but Switzerland is one country that is totally architecturally planned for bicycles!

  4. Amsterdam is one of them.

  5. Groningen, in the north of the Netherlands. Student city with great nightlife, and all the delights of Amsterdam except on a smaller scale with better manners.

  6. Copenhagen
