Which are your favorite things of museums?

I majored in tourism......so went around plenty...."sigh" those tired legs of mine lol !

I think all think all things Egyptians or anything oriental attracted me the most.

The first one because of all the mysteries about the mummies etc.

The second one because I find the art so beautiful and graceful.

I liked the prehistorical stuff as well..human remains, bones, artifacts, craniums..as well as all things "old" : dinosaurs etc.

There are so many different kind of museums anyway.

I think I liked the Musée de l'Homme the best in Paris : all about different societies, explanations on how they lived and the history behind each culture, etc..

Paintings and sculptures have never been my thing. I did not find the Mona Lisa entrancing by the way. I learned plenty about art history but found it boring........:-(

It depends on the museum.  I like science museums with lots of hands on stuff.  I have been to art museums and like how quiet they are and how they inspire you to interpret the art on your own.  With science museums I like the planets and I love the planetarium.
