  1. Depends which part. I know Acton and its got quiet bits AND scary bits.


  2. I would go for Shoreditch, it is getting very trendy this days. Hoxton is lively, lots of restaurants and Spitlefields is arty, has markets and Brick Lane. I love the atmosphere there. If money was no object I would live in Fournier Street or one of the near by streets. This bit of Shoreditch is close to Liverpool Street, so excellent transport.
