Hitchhiker is right and I'll tell you why like this.  I know of 2 Arab girls; sisters; (they're the only ones I know who are like this) one married a man she didn't want to marry; just because her brother told her to.  He turned around and told the other sister to divorce her husband and she did; just because he told her to.

That's an individual thing going on.

I try my best not to succumb to racist stereotypes-so I don't want to dignify this offensive question with an answer. Like others have said-both men and women can be subservient whether they are asian or not.

Unlike the common portrayal of western women i think they are bread winners of their faimly and at the same time they they are mothers,wives or girl friends.

I have realized being from the third world that western women are more equlaity oriented because they accept the flip side of equality which is the tough part.

Asian women dont and they want just the rosy side.

We should perhaps project western women more in tune with reality!!!

One doesn't have to be an Asian woman to be subservient although culture plays a very important role. A man on the other hand can be subservient as well.
