What method of sterilization was used?  Not all bacteria die from heat. Not all bacteria are affected by the different sterilization chemicals.

Stapholococcus (Staph) bacteria are extremely hard to kill.

a colon infection called C. DIFF is very ahrd tio kill, too.

Any bacteria that readily forms an endospore.

It depends on the method of sterilization; an autoclave is going to do well with all of them.  But the answer above - bacteria that form spores - is correct for other methods, like heat or alcohol.

none.  by definition sterilization is killing bacteria and other microorganisms.  

but semantics aside... what kills one bacteria may not kill another.
