  1. This depends on your swing characteristics.  Personally I use pro-v1's because I have a high swing speed and pro-v1's generate a lot of spin.  This helps me to stop the ball on the green exactly where I want it and puts me in a position to score when I need it.  Your swing characteristics may be different.  The best idea is to go to a club pro and have him recommend a ball for you.

  2. Taylormade. Mainly because you implied new ones. Recycled balls are a bit of a lottery in my opinion. Much nicer to hit a brand new ball because then you know how much use its had.

Or, go buy a few of each and practice with them, then see which you prefer.

  3. TaylorMade TP Black '08 Golf Balls

Enjoy high launches and excellent distance from fairway woods, hybrids and irons with TaylorMade's TP Black golf balls. They feature NdV4 Core Technology, a neodymium-based rubber compound that combines ultra-high COR and exceedingly low compression. The result is accelerated speed, low driver-spin and soft sound and feel. The multi-blend ionomer mantle helps regulate each ball's launch angle off both the driver and the irons, as well as boost ball velocity.

  4. TaylorMade.

    Have a good one...
