Which bank is best to use in U.S., and internationally?

Question

I just want to have one bank account that I can use all across the United States w/plenty of locations and in India as well.

I'm planning on getting a myaccess checking at Bank of America which is free...also looking at Chase, and Citi.

Thanks for your thoughts and advice!

I have bank of america. When we visited Italy and france it was an easy transaction with no problems.

i'd steer clear of any US bank and go with a swiss bank for the time being. Many US banks are in trouble and i've had experiences with both bankamerica and citi, neither of which cares about their clients, so go swiss--they are respected worldwide. Good luck.
