I can't answer for Wells Fargo but Bank of America WILL find ways to charge you all kinds of fee.

i have had wells fargo for many years and really like it.  never had any issues.

It depends on what your looking for in a bank.  Ask both for an information pamphlet to see which one best suits your needs.  Are you looking for free checking, good interest rates on savings...?  They should be able to give you info so that you can make the right decision.  Make sure to read all the fine print so that you know exactly what fees you may get.  For example, if you are looking for a checking account,  does the bank charge a per check fee, or a monthly maintenance fee?  Know beforehand, so you are prepared.
