I've never worn foundation before and I'm having a hard time choosing a color, can you help me?

i just want to cut down the shine on my face.

  1. you look like a golden medium :) i was just at sephora yesterday and someone helped me choose a colour. we both have a very close skin colour so i think that itll do for you. the site really doesnt show "golden medium" that dark but when you see it, it will.

    because your looking at foundation bare minerals only has one type, so i cant really help you in finding one that will reduce oil, but i can say that bare minerals is really good, it melts into your skin. if you are worried about any shine or oil i would start with a light moisturizer and then a primer. primers not only reduce shine, but they smooth out the surface of your skin allowing even better coverage :)

    if your looking for a finishing powder i would also stick to the bare minerals "mineral veil", it looks like its coloured but its not. you dont look that old so i would try to use the smallest amount of product possible.. so im not sure if you would even need a powder. i know people say its a must but honestly, all it does is make your powder stay on longer. but bare minerals is already long lasting due to the fact that it sticks to your skin so well, so i doubt you will have that problem.
