  1. your more likely to step on a sting ray, get stung by a bee, get punched by a vagrant, trip and hit your noggin on the soft cement, get dumped by your significant other, cry at a movie, break your surfboard before you even get to the beach, choke on your juicy juice, have your hair shaved off when your asleep, ask a funny question on yahoo ;) !

Dont worry, if you get eaten at least you fed a shark!

  2. OK well i am not sure about that cause i live on california USA soo but listen i was scared too about sharks and my surf teacher told me its more likly to have a coconut fall on your head then a shark bit you ok?.... it made me feel better. Like i said it might be different out there i dont know but here you just have to be alert never surf alon always take someone or if not at leadt pleasssssse go where there are some people around or people in the water =) good luck HANG TEN <3

  3. ocean=sharks... theyre always around.

    but...!

sharks are more afraid of people than people are of sharks....

and an actual shark bite is one in a million..

  4. Ok so I assume your talking about Australia..like everyone said here don't worry about it, most of the beaches in Oz have people who actually watch for sharks so you should be alright :) If someone says get out of the water then get out of the water lol

  5. why does everyone believe that since you're a surfer, that sharks will come and eat you? it's the rip currents and rocks you have to worry about, sharks...6/10,000 get attacked by a shark. out of that maybe 1 surfer. so don't worry. :)

  6. man, shut up.

  7. None of the beaches are totally safe.  However, if you surf 3-Poles or Anzec (going towards Middleton) you should be fine.  It's shallow for a long way out and a shark can be spotted easily from the cliffs giving you plenty of time to get into the beach.  Don't go out near dark anywhere and stay clear of Cactus and Rodney's Point.
