as far as i know no drivers are illegal in the uk

All of them listed on the USGA non-conforming list.  Most because their COR is too high (the spring effect of the face projects the ball off too hard - above test tolerances).

It depends if your talking about a gun or club. If it is a club, none of them are illegal. If it is the gun it is illegal is the US not the UK
