I love paella and I plan to go travel in Spain. If I absolutely want to eat their paella as much as possible, where is a good place to go? I'd prefer a big city because I'm going there as a tourist.

  1. Girona, which is north of Barcelona.

    - fellow Paella lover.

  2. Another vote for Valencia, where it was invented.

  3. well the rpice its about the restaurant not the city....but its is true that south of spain its cheaper than the north....

if u coming in summer any lil town or city by the beach would be fine...if not u should try big cities like, cadiz, sevilla or Malaga

  4. If you happen to come to Barcelona don't eat a "paella" in Las Ramblas...it's extremely expensive and not good at all (they do it just for tourist so you won't eat the authentic paella and you'll leave a fortune).

In Spain there is a brand called "paellador" that most restaurants serve as real paella and it's just frozen, it all comes in a package and it's not good at all.

Try some in some restaurant where locals go...it's not expensive.

    Valencia is the "paella" home!

  5. Just remember when you go out to eat try to sit down at the bar, its alot cheaper then if you sit down at a table and have to be served. I had Paella in Valencia it was good. I think Spain is great I hope you have a good time.

  6. Valencia.

    The  Paella Valenciana is famous.

The 3rd. largest city in Spain.

  7. Try Barcelona - in the evening there are plenty cafes and restaurants around the Ramblas but you might like to head down to the harbour to dine at Port Olympic or in a traditional paella restaurant. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelo... for more details

  8. Most large cities in Spain have small cafés and/or restaurants that serve excellent paella as a "tapa", or a main dish as part of the menu del dia (daily menu).

The best paellas are in Valencia, the city where the paella was created. It is the local dish "par exellence"... The beach restaurants have great paellas!

    Enjoy your holiday,,,and your paellas!

    :-)
