  1. These bikes aren't really an apples to apples comparison.  The Trek and the Felt are pretty comparable road bikes.  The Quintana Roo is sort of a tri/road bike.  (Perhaps for people who can't make up their minds!)

I think you need to get on each bike and give it a good long ride.  (An hour or more each.)  Then buy the one that feels best and fits the type of riding you want to do.

If you go for the Quintana Roo, make sure you like riding with the aero bars.  (They will probably feel shaky, at first.)  If you don't enjoy or see yourself using the aero bars, I probably wouldn't buy the bike.

    Hope this helps.

  2. I love my Felts. I will continue to be a repeat customer because they are great bikes. I've also owned Treks, and while I know longer purchase them, they are still great as well. The Quintana is totally out of your league unless you plan to do triathlons. It's more for experienced riders but you still can learn on one. Personally, I'd recommend the Trek 1500. It's still a traditional road bike like the Felt but has better components. If you real want to look at a Felt that has similar specs to the Trek 1500 , you'll need to look for Felts with Shimano 105 components like the 2005 Felt F75, 2006 Felt F80 or 2007 and newer F85. The '05 F75 even has carbon seatstays. Also, the Trek 1500 no longer exists. The closest spec bike Trek has now is the $1700 trek 2.3.

  3. The Trek & Felt have good followings...don't know about the Quintana.

Best bet is to test ride each one.  If one doesn't stand out as "the one," think about it some more and test ride again another day.  It should not only suit your riding needs but should have geometry that works for your body/flexibility.
