I know I've already posted some questions along these lines, but bear with me lol.

Anyway. I've been surfing my local craigslist and am wondering if I should go for a bigger bike (I'm looking at Honda Rebel and Yamaha V-star 250 right now new). There are plenty of bikes in the 600-750cc range. Some are not so old bikes like some more powerful of the V-stars that have some miles put on em already, and there are also plently of older hondas and suzukis.

Anyway. Anybody have recommendations on bikes in the 600-750 range? Newer or older models.

I'd love to get my hands on an old Rebel 450 but those are super hard to find.

fyi. Gal rider, 5'5ish.

  1. Since you're looking for a "cruiser" type bike there are lot's of Honda Shadows out there, VT600, VT700 and VT750.  Kawasaki has the Vulcan series, VN400, VN700, and VN750 ( the VN series goes all the way to a VN2000 if you want BIG).

Kawasaki makes two other bikes with relatively low seat heights, the EX250 and the EX500.  These are from the Ninja sportbike series.  I've had a chance to ride both of them, they are both comfortable and easy to ride.

One other bike in that you might consider is the Buell Blast.  All of these will fit riders who don't want their bikes too tall.

  2. V Star 650 , www.650ccnd.com

  3. How about used Yamaha Virago 750, or maybe Suzuki Intruder 800?
